At JSRC Fertility, our team comes together to support individuals and couples the journey to start or grow their family. We have found that often the emotional impact of undergoing fertility treatment can be overlooked. Our team brings over 20 years of personal and professional experience in understanding modern family building techniques and the specific intricacies of the process. JSRC Fertility’s services are designed specifically to support clients, donor and surrogacy agencies and clinics in attending to the emotional side of the journey.
Our experienced clinicians provide thorough psychosocial assessments of surrogates and donors. Screenings include a review of referral and matching information, an in-depth psychological screening (with use of Personality Assessment Inventory), and we provide an overview and evaluation of family, psychological, relationship and reproductive history for the agency and physicians. We find that our experience as therapists makes this a seamless process, giving all of the parties involved a greater sense of confidence.
Through experience, we have observed the ways in which this process can become overwhelming. We understand the decision to see a fertility specialist can impact your life and your relationships. Each client faces unique challenges, and our role is to support clients with tools to take control over an unpredictable process. Whether with your partner, family, friends or surrogate, as relationship therapists, we will work with you to manage issues with boundaries, disclosure and the specific challenges faced.
Agency & Clinic Support
Our experienced team works with agencies and clinics to provide screenings and support for Intended Parents, Gestational Carriers, Egg Donors, as well as agency owners and case workers. Our role is to stay focused on the impact of the journey on relationships, and our experience as couple and family therapists enables us to protect those relationships throughout the journey.
Surrogacy Journey Support
Becoming a parent through surrogacy is an exciting and unique journey. Our team partners with clients from the beginning through birth and beyond, to support intended parents and surrogates as they navigate the process. As a third party, we provide an objective and supportive voice between the client, the agency and the clinic. There is a wide range of emotions clients experience throughout this time, and our therapists are well-versed in the specific needs as a team.
Our team is well-trained and experienced in supporting Intended Parents, Donors and Surrogates. We offer support groups and webinars through agencies, clinics and other organizations to bring intended parents, donors, surrogates and doctors together in an informational and supportive forum. These support groups and webinars provide a safe space for clients to learn more about others’ experiences, to share stories and to provide tools and information to connect and feel more in control of this unique process.
Same sex couples face unique challenges when deciding to create a biological family. Today, advanced reproductive technologies provide options for LGBTQ individuals and couples to achieve their dream of being parents. JSRC’s team of experts has over 20 years of experience working with LGBTQ couples undergoing fertility treatments. Our role is to support clients before, during and after the process.
